UPDATE: Working with Harry Johns on remedying the issues below has been above and beyond anything we could have expected. His professionalism and courtesy has been exceptional. This completely changed my mind about DMG. Their customer service and desire to help search for the perfect product is excellent. We are extremely happy that we chose DMG.
We did not have a great experience with Distinctive. Overall, the quality of their customer service was poor, as was their installation. I would caution anyone using them for large jobs like ours to hire a designer or have your builder go with you for your final selection meeting. Having someone there with you that knows the process will be really helpful. Otherwise, it can be overwhelming and there isn't really anyone there to help you. It's a very rushed process.
When we did make complaints about the quality, we were made to feel like we were the ones with the problem and were not treated like the customer. The core values that DMG promotes such as "be the best, nothing less" and "we try to put ourselves in their shoes" do not represent our experience with DMG.
At the end of our job, we weren't very happy. We didn't ask for a refund or for a discount. There are still problems with the way our stone was matched and installed. The marble that was provided was not in very good condition and had a lot of scratches on it. We found that complaining about anything was met with the refusal that DMG could do anything wrong and that we were the ones who had set our expectations too high.
I see that someone from DMG responds to these reviews. To that person, we aren't trying to get a discount.We just wanted to let others know of our experience.
